One of the most beautiful sights in the sky is a big bright full moon on a cloudless night. It is mesmerizing to see how much light it reflects on our planet and covers us with a silky, silvery blanket. In Sydney, Australia on August 4th, and in Europe and the USA on Aug 3rd, the Full Moon moves into Aquarius. Traditionally speaking, the Full Moon represents the ending of a cycle and preparing for a new chapter.

Aquarius is an air sign and its symbol is the water bearer. Water is the main source of life, it cleans us, it feeds us, it gives life to all plants. When the Full Moon is in Aquarius, we usually feel a surge of energy. This year, the Full Moon in Aquarius comes with a hard angle to Uranus. What does this mean? It means that we will feel rebellious, we will want to break the chains and run free. Watch out! All of this combined with the Leo season, can possibly create an unbearable feeling of being trapped and desperately wanting to break free. The amount of energy in the air will be huge, and for some, really hard to handle. All this said, what can we do as heart-centered business owners to keep ourselves balanced and productive at the same time? How can we turn this Leo, Aquarius, Uranus ‘Bermuda Triangle’ into something positive and productive?

7 Awesome Ways to Rock the Full Moon in Aquarius

#1 Let go of what no longer serves you.

The Full Moon represents the closing of a chapter as we mentioned earlier. In order to start a new chapter, you need to close the old one because it is time to come to terms with the people and the things that no longer lift your energy. To be able to profit in the best possible way from this high energy season, you have to find a way to make peace with what doesn’t work in your life and forgive those who did you wrong. Start this season with a fresh blank page and nurture yourself to be the best possible version of yourself. Take the Sun in Cancer lessons where you learned about intuition and nurturing yourself, and use them to fill you up so that it’s easier to let go of what brings you down. Letting go, and change are two of the most painful processes in life but with the winds of freedom and creativity you will feel during this powerful time, you can shine at whatever you set your heart to. The pain of change and letting go is real, but without going through it, you will never find out what your next opportunity is. Why not take this as your calling to reevaluate your entire life?! Look at your old beliefs, perspectives and mindsets. Look at your old habituated ways of doing things. Look at your old ways of thinking, of reacting. Dump what no longer serves you. What this means for your business is that you might need to look at your products, your services, and get rid of the ones that didn’t bring you exciting income or recognition. If you need to tweak some things to better serve your clients, this is the right time to do it.

#2 Canalize your rebellious energy into carefully planned actions.

During the Sun in Cancer season, most of us spent time grounding ourselves and digging deeper into our unconscious minds to find answers, and to create new ways to grow and improve ourselves. Moving out of this Cancer energy, going into the Aquarius Full Moon with the Sun in Leo, will feel like a sudden manic phase that can come as an electric shock. That’s why careful planning will be extremely important for you during this season!! The more structure you have, the better you will use your energy. The reason why you are feeling rebellious is because during the previous phase Saturn was restricting you and making you feel stuck. But now the tables have turned, and you are ready to explode. This is the best time for new business plans or to improve the existing ones. And Aquarius is creative genius in action. Let the waters of spiritual knowledge flow through your business plan, showing you new innovations that you’ve maybe never considered.  Be open during this time!

#3 Take time to meditate.

In this phase, meditation and anything else you do to relax and realign yourself will become extremely important. Unfortunately, the energy surge does also create some negative feelings during this full moon. For instance, you might suffer from anxiety related to your job, your personal life, and your finances. Many times you might find yourself asking, “What if I lose my job?” or “What if there is an emergency situation and I don’t have the resources to handle it?” “What if I can’t find clients?” Remember that the Moon always deals with issues of security, so it’s perfectly normal to feel unsafe and insecure during Full Moons. Instead of ignoring those feelings and the emotions that come along with them, do something nurturing for yourself! Meditation, yoga, reiki, and exercise are all extremely important during this season to keep your anxiety levels down. The more you take care of your inner world, the better results you will get in the outer world. Your internal balance is important during this phase as the changes happen quickly and unexpectedly. Take time to ask yourself questions and let your unconscious mind carry the answers up to the surface. Ask your questions and simply wait in silence and meditate. Discover your shadow self during these meditations. We all have a dark side that holds us as a hostage, without us realizing it. Our shadow self is what we can’t see in ourselves. Having inner dialogues during your quiet hours is a useful shadow work exercise. The reason why it is important to have an inner dialogue with ourselves is that during these sessions we can truly differentiate the reaction that is caused by our shadow selves and the true feelings we have about a certain someone or situation. If we don’t take enough time to listen to our voice, the shadow self takes over and leads us in the wrong direction. By the way, I want to remind you about my free Masterclass that starts August 2nd.  It’s called Healing the Healer: 3 Powerful Tools for Healing, Transformation and Self-Realization. #4 Analyze your reactions.

Your shadow self always hides behind you, secretly controlling your reactions and actions. If you find yourself acting out of the ordinary when faced with a tough situation, if you show more anger or aggression than usual, ask yourself what might have possibly caused you to react this way. Ask yourself questions. Wait for the answers quietly. When you start paying close attention to your reactions, you will start to see how your shadow self is manipulating you behind the scenes. If you feel jealous, ask yourself if you are trying to mask something about yourself that you are trying to hide. Maybe it’s a desire you are trying to bury deep. Your emotions are the keys to your unconscious mind. Use them to unlock your inner persona. In Jungian psychology, each emotion we feel, and each reaction we show towards other people holds an answer about ourselves. Use these weak moments to strengthen yourself. #5 Take time to heal your emotional wounds.

It is a slow process. During this phase, as the pace of life will get considerably faster, you might feel impatient to see results. But remember that you don’t have to take care of everything at once. What you need to do is take baby steps and set realistic goals for yourself to get where you want to be. Don’t let this Full Moon in Aquarius and Sun in Leo hurricane season carry you away! Emotional healing takes time. But if you get frustrated and give up easily, you will not see the fruits of your efforts. Even a little bit of healing is better than no healing at all. Perseverance is important. If you try to handle everything all at once, things will only bounce back at you and who knows, maybe harder. Be patient. Healing is a long process, but it can be achieved. Set your priorities and draw up a road map with small but doable goals.

#6 Pay attention to your intuition.

The Full Moon is associated with high intuition. You might see that you are noticing small details easier than before. It’s a natural side effect of this phase. When you have a sudden feeling (good or bad) about something or someone, take time to analyze it. Listen to what your intuition is trying to tell you. We all have intuition, but we are taught to not pay attention to it, being told to follow the voice of our brain instead of our gut feelings. Now, you know the voice in your brain is not YOUR true voice!  It’s your ego, it lives in the past, it believes in the three-dimensional illusion, it is the voice of your wounding, your inner critic, your fear, et cetera. Both your egoic brain-self and your intuitive heart-self are useful in the decision making process. But never underestimate the power of your gut feelings. We are all vibrational beings and whether we notice it or not, we are sensitive to other energies around us. It is something that is not visible to the naked eye. It is something that can’t be scientifically proven, but it is there. We all know it. Some folks, though, simply choose to ignore it and let the egoic self confuse them.

#7 Resist the urge of quitting.

This Full Moon in Aquarius might create more social and political unrest throughout the world. It also means that it will create emotional unrest in us. This might manifest itself as wanting to quit your job, throwing your goals away, or breaking up a relationship. Don’t act on impulse, but do take time to rethink and reevaluate things before you make a decision you might later regret.

That’s a Wrap!

To conclude, the Full Moon in Aquarius with the Sun in Leo can be an extremely productive phase in your life if you only take time to relax and align your chakras, relax, and meditate. It is not difficult to just sit down, take a few deep breaths, and listen to your inner voice. You will remember some of your old creative ideas to which you have never given a chance. Don’t be surprised! If you take time to pay attention, you might find new avenues to make these ideas happen. Take notes, write them down in a journal, and read them every day. Add new ones to the existing ones every day. Or better yet, start compiling your ideas and all your content into an Airtable database so that you can brainstorm, take notes and create actionable timelines on your ideas. It’s a good time to create To Do lists with a clear vision and plan of action for each creative thought. OMG! You can totally create your To Do list in Airtable, too! If you’re wondering what Airtable is, it’s an online spreadsheet app for folks who never learned how to use Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. Discovering Airtable changed my business and my personal life so I shout their name every chance I get. Anyway, this Full Moon in Aquarius and the Sun in Leo season is the best time to give your ideas life. Because remember, Aquarius, although an air sign, is a water bearer (the bringer of spiritual knowledge). It will nurture your genius and it will give you new life.
