My Shadow Work Workshop is meant to give you all the support you need while learning transformational Shadow Work exercises. We work together in small groups for four weeks. Each week we will meet online in my private Shadow Work Space and I’ll teach you all about Shadow and Shadow Work. I’ll give you some stimulating exercises which you’ll practice during the week. Classes are held online in my LIVE Shadow Work Space. We use the very easy-to-use Google Hangout format so that we can interact in real-time, face-to-face. Sessions go for about 90 minutes. To participate, you’ll need your computer (or whatever device you’ll use to access Google Hangouts– phone, tablet, whatever,) a notebook and pen, and the different handouts that I’ll be sending you. It’s a really simple process for a super-beneficial practice that will totally change your life. And don’t worry if you have to miss a session because they will be recorded for you to review later.
I am a strong believer in healing the root cause of problems rather than relying on temporary fixes to make myself feel better. I feel like true healing means that old issues will stop cropping up once we are truly free of the wounding. There are many ways to approach this kind of deep healing and many of those ways involve working one-on-one with a healer, shaman or therapist. There is one practice, however, that anyone can use at any time. This practice can show you so much about yourself and help you resolve so many deep and disturbing issues. It can help you recognize what your Soul wants, understand your Life Purpose, open you up to your Higher Self, help you redeem your Inner Child, help you confront and break through your deepest fears, and even help you change identify and change negative/limiting beliefs. The practice is called Shadow Work, and I’m going to be offering a series of classes that will teach you all about it, what it is, and how to use it to break free from the limitations of your emotional wounding.
Carl Jung coined the word ‘shadow’ to refer to the unknown dark side of the personality. Today, healers use it to describe that aspect of ourselves that is wounded and often hidden or suppressed as a coping mechanism. Many of us are absolutely terrified of our own Shadow, and it is completely understandable. The Shadow seems scary because it is suppressed and mysterious and there are lots of negative judgments coming from both inside and outside about its nature and the events that triggered it.
The Shadowed Self is that part of the psyche which most likely started in childhood as some sort of trauma and formed a structure of coping so that it could protect itself from further harm. You might be aware of the trauma, or you might not be aware. Our brains have spectacular ways of suppressing emotions so that we can move forward with some semblence of control. The mind, however, does not, on its own, release the attachment and the fear from those original traumatic experiences. Healing can come to us through events and synchronicities that I call ‘spiritually guided’ or they can come with the conscious awareness and focus of choice. This is where Shadow Work and other healing modalities come into play. The spiritually guided healings are a natural part of our life processes. We are constantly engaged with the world and taking in life through our senses and our intellect. This unconscious process leads very happily to opportunities to heal. When they happen we instantly feel the improvement in our lives. We feel clear, happy, uplifted, optimistic and healed. Free, even.
Shadow Work is a conscious practice that we do to bring the light of intellect and self-love to the Shadowed Self. My Shadow Work series is a set of exercises that help you to access your Shadowed Self, understand it, hear it, love it, heal it, integrate it, and then create new beliefs, thought patterns and behaviors that are in alignment with your new freer self.
The Shadowed Self is a part of you that has been stuck in time. If you can imagine yourself trying to walk forward with a tormented three-year-old child wrapped around your leg, you will have a very clear idea of how much easier life would be if you had a loving and efficient system to nurture that child, get him or her safe and happy, and then move forward with them wishing you well on your journey. This is what Shadow Work is all about. Shadow Work is a logical and rational way to deal with deep emotional wounding. Don’t get me wrong, emotions will rise, but the Shadow Work exercises I offer also teach you how to be present with your emotions so that they can lead you to genuine healing.

I began doing Shadow Work back in 2012. I was immediately transformed and have sworn by it ever since. You can learn a bit about how I use Shadow Work personally and with my clients in the video below. I made that vid while I was enjoying the early days of autumn along the Seine.
